As usual, I'm behind when it comes to the latest and greatest in music. My husband recently put me on to this amazing band from Sweden called Little Dragon. I simply cannot stop listening to their second album, Machine Dreams. No matter what I'm doing, whether I'm on the train, cooking or putting on makeup in the bathroom, I have this album playing in the background. Right now, this is the soundtrack to my life!

gnocchi
I decided to make gnocchi for the first time ever. I used a simple basic recipe for the gnocchi that I found online. Potatoes, flour, egg, parmesan cheese, salt and pepper were the only ingredients. They turned out great and were fairly easy to make, but it took a while! Most of the time was spent prepping the potatoes; boiling, peeling, ricing, cooling. I used my Cuisinart food processor with the grating attachment, in lieu of a potato ricer, because I don't have one. I also made a cream sauce with garlic and herbs.

deep fryed
These are my Frye ' Harness 12R ' boots. It took me a while to be comfortable enough with the price before I finally purchased them. I actually bought them once, kept them for a week, and then sent them back. About a year later, I bought them again and I never looked back! I wear them year round, even in the summer, and they are great in the rain and snow. I love these boots!

just for kicks
My infatuation with Vans began after I bought my very first pair; slip-ons in classic black and white checkerboard. The rest, as you can see, is history. I even wore a pair for our wedding, as did my hubby and our entire wedding party! My favorite style is the 'Authentic Lo Pro' which I have in purple, hot pink, gray, brown and raspberry/pewter. The gray and purple are the ones that I wear the most. In December, I picked up four additional pairs of Vans while Christmas shopping at the outlets. Each pair was on clearance, and they were buy one get one 50% off, so I got all four for less than $70!

wild cat
This is the majority of my "modest" leopard collection. Over the last year or two I have become basically obsessed with the idea of anything leopard. I do try, however, to pick pieces that have what I consider to be a tasteful print as well as things that are complimentary to my existing wardrobe, without being too over the top.
