I snapped this photo of a Nordstrom window display with my iPhone during one of my trips to the mall. Is it me, or are they channeling Marilyn Monroe's pink bow dress from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes? She wore this while performing Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend.
Madonna was also inspired by Marilyn's look in her Material Girl video.
